When you travel through the southern part of Nepal (Jhapa to Kanchanpur covering 23 districts of Nepal), you encounter with indigenous community, the ‘ Tharu Community’.
The community opulent in art and culture, perform dance and sing in seasonal festivals.
According to historian, the origin of Tharu Community was in Dang Valley, situated in South west of Nepal.
They are the devotees of Nature. They think, GURBABA is their God who created this world.
The latest census revealed that they occupy fourth highest population. Their livelihood is basically based on farming.
